Chocolate pralines with mascarpone

Chocolate is one of my favourite medicines. Whether it’s rain, fatigue or broken heart, a box full of delicious pralines will never let me down. That’s also a fantastic idea for a GIFT, especially if you’re planning to please someone who has a sweet-tooth (like me). You don’t need a ticket to Belgium, the capital of chocolate pralines – just a bit of mascarpone cheese and good-quality dark chocolate.

Tip: try to use various kinds of dark chocolate to make it more diverse in taste (e.g. orange-flavoured)

Dark chocolate – 200g
Mascarpone cheese – 100g
Powdered sugar – 80g
Desiccated coconut
Finely ground nuts & almonds
Cocoa powder

Melt the chocolate in a water bath (a bowl placed over a pan with boiling water). Take off the stove, add mascarpone cheese and mix. Sift powdered sugar to the bowl and mix until the ingredients are well-blended. Put in the fridge for minimum 2 hours.

Using your hands, form mini balls, giving them the shape you want. Sprinkle with cocoa powder, desiccated coconut, finely ground nuts, or anything else you can come up with!

Tip: store in the fridge
